Potential Side Effects: 

  • Large doses may cause stomach pain and vomiting as well as sun sensitivity and reddened skin

  • Some people may suffer from allergic reaction

 

Who Should Avoid:

  • Be cautious with excessive amounts if you are pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Be cautious if taking with Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet medications or other medications which slow blood clotting as this can increase the effect as well as vulnerability to bruising and excessive bleeding

  • Do not take if you are allergic to Aspirin and do not take alongside Aspirin

  • Be cautious if you take medication containing Choline Magnesium Trisalicylate as it can increase the side effects

  • Contains a salicylate; do not take alongside other salicylates such as Salsalate (Disalcid)

  • Be cautious if you take Anti-Diabetes medication as the combined reaction can cause dangerous drops in blood sugar levels

  • Speak to your Doctor before taking large amounts of Rosemary if you are taking any medications which are broken down by the liver

 

Recommended Dosage:

  • 750-6000mg taken orally daily for up to four months is safe and effective for most treatments. 

  • Can also be used as a topical oil

  • Can also be used in aromatherapy

  • These doses are also safe for children
